Back to work

Charles Caudrelier in front of the public
Charles Caudrelier face au public

In less than a week, the fleet will leave for Galway to end the race. Despite the weather of this week-end, the public came massively to visit the race village. Now it’s time for the crews to come back to work.

They split their times between golf, cycling, rest in family or sailing trips on the trimarans of Franck Cammas and Thomas Coville. Starting today, crews and skippers go back to the pontoons. With check of materials, analyse of coming weather conditions or preparation of the navigation on the ocean floor of the strait between Lorient and the isle of Groix, they have plenty of stuff to do.

The two first days of the week are also a good opportunity to develop a reflection on the world of sailing race. After the press conference of Novamont on waste at sea or the intervention of Charles Caudrelier about life on board, the auditorium of the Cité de la Voile will host tomorrow some of the world’s main actors of racing for a symposium on “sailing and strategy”…
